Can you still get organic blog traffic from Google in 2020? |

Blog marketing has changed a lot over the last 15 years. In 2005, you could get a lot of traffic by simply posting but a lot has changed. blogging Statistics show that number of blog posts comes out every month which means you’re going to have to compete with a lot of websites to rank high on Google. It almost makes you wonder if you can still be successful in blogging just by focusing on getting organic traffic from Google. I’m here to say you can still get organic traffic if you do these 7 things. 1.Narrow down your niche You can start with the niche you interested in and create multiple posts on different subjects that are niche relevant and see which gets the most engagement. Put that specific sub-niche in a keyword planner to see how much competition you got and if there’s a favorable balance between popularity and competition pick that niche. 2. Create content worthy of being on the first page of Google After finding good keywords to revolve your content around get a feel for how high the quality is of the content already ranking for that keyword and keyword related subjects. Google isn’t going to direct traffic to your content if you don’t produce quality content on par with the content on the first page for your target keyword. 3.Take advantage of everything you’re already ranking for You might rank for multiple keywords you weren’t targeting in your content. This means Google sees some value for those unintended keywords in your content. Find these keywords by doing research on Google search console and expand on the subjects to rank higher for these unintended keywords. 4. Pro-actively build effective links What you have to realize is that Google knows that some people are trying to “game” the system by acquiring non-earned backlinks. As a result, they devalued some types of backlinks. This is why it’s important to know what kind of backlinks will help you rank and which won’t. 5. Get your website to run as fast as possible on mobile This is why it’s important to not have too many unnecessary plugins and large images on your website because they slow your website down. In my opinion, it’d be best to focus on multiple marketing channels such as YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a lot of traffic just by focusing on SEO. You just have to take into account that it’s going to take a lot longer to get your first website visitors and there’s a lot more that has to be done after publishing your content.
